EnterpriseWorks 2.0 (EW 2.0) builds on the success and momentum of EnterpriseWorks incubator to support startup companies. This new building will emphasize the ability to support companies in biomanufacturing that require light manufacturing spaces.
The growth stage incubator facilities will support early-stage manufacturing of high-tech products and high bay space for bioprocessing and fermentation equipment. Space will be available for small businesses to lease and receive entrepreneurship support services as an on-campus business location at the University of Illinois Research Park.
Project Components:
- 7 company suites with labs and offices for commercial lease
- Shared suite with lab equipment and mechanical/utility capabilities for bioprocessing needs
- Research Park community pavilion for programming
- Coffee shop and coworking space
- Meeting space
- Future: donor funded “named” center for Entrepreneurship
