The iFAB Tech Hub continues to expand as they welcome National Foodworks Services LLC. to the consortium as the hub’s 34th member.

Located in Decatur, IL, National Foodworks is a 40,000 sq. foot manufacturing and packaging facility sitting on 10+ acres of land with room for expansion. National Foodworks currently specializes in low minimum order quantity productions. As more fermented ingredients are available for consumer goods, National Foodworks can support those first, early production runs.

Partnering with clients both big and small during various stages of their business models, National Foodworks is open to capital investment projects as well as bringing in additional equipment for specific needs. They often work with clients looking to scale up or expand the research and development of their products, and prioritize entrepreneurship by placing value in opportunities that help grow their clients’ businesses. When a recipe or formulation is needed, for example, they are quick to utilize their many relationships with talented food scientists and facilitate introductions.

Their enthusiasm to create economic incentives and opportunities for the iFAB region perfectly align with our tech hub’s mission to connect researchers, engineers, and manufacturers in the bio-based manufacturing industry.

Together, the iFAB Tech Hub will scale up new technologies and turn central Illinois into a global leader for precision fermentation and biomanufacturing.
